Official instructions
To speed up customs clearance, please complete this declaration in English, French or in a language accepted in the destination country. When the value of the contents exceeds 300 SDR*, you must use a CN23 form. You must write the sender’s full name and address on the front of the item.
(1) Please provide a detailed description of each item and specify the quantity and the unit used (e.g. “2 men’s cotton shirts”), especially for items subject to quarantine or restrictions (animal-based, plant-based, food products, etc.).
(4) and (5) The 6-digit HS tariff number must be based on the Harmonized System developed by the World Customs Organization. The term “country of origin” refers to the country from which the goods originate (e.g. the country where they were produced, manufactured or assembled). It is recommended to provide this information and to attach an invoice to the outside of the shipment to facilitate customs clearance.
